Free family tubing!

Join us for a day of blustery fun!  Winter Xcape is a FREE family-friendly event at the Snow Park at Maple Ridge Center on January 28, 2018. The event features snow tubing, cross-country skiing, and a cardboard sled race. Food will be available at the concession stand.

Schedule of Events:

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM: FREE TUBING

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Concession stand open

4:45 PM: Cardboard Sled Judging [prizes given for Design, including both sled and crew costume]

5:00 PM: Cardboard Sled Race [prizes given for distance]

Lots of great food will be available all day, including hotdogs, burgers and fries. 

Cardboard Sled Rules

IMG 4333 640x452Building Materials: Only Cardboard, duct tape and glue are allowed as building materials. Paint, markers, crayons, colored paper are allowed for decorations. Cellophane wrap allowed for windshields only. Use of any other materials will result in disqualification. Prizes for distance and design. Up to three (3) persons allowed to ride in each sled.

Other details:

◦Maple Ridge Center is a tobacco and alcohol free facility.
◦Although Winter Xcape is a free event, patrons must still obtain a ticket/waiver to go down the tubing hill.  The ticket is free, but required for liability purposes. Signs will be posted directing you to the ticket table.
◦We love animals! However, Winter Xcape is crowded with human friends. Please leave your pets at home.
◦Double tubes will not be available for this event. As always, patrons are welcome to form "trains" with up to six single tubes.
◦The minimum height requirement of 36 inches (3 ft.) is still in effect for this event.
◦Donations will be accepted to support Maple Ridge Center and Beaver Camp, ministries of the Adirondack Mennonite Camping Association.
